Casona de Naveda Campóo: turismo rural en Cantabria

The origin of The ´Casona` is an old construction from the 17th Century (1690) which later on was rebuilt and restored until 1910 . In this year it was bought by the descendants of a well known ´Indiano`(emigrant who returned from America having a fortune) called the ¨Buey de Oro" ( golden Ox). Finally it was restored by the current owner Paloma Lopez who has given the house a new life , letting remain the most esential principles reason for this project. QUIET, PEACE, QUALITY.

It is situated in Naveda, (see how to get here) a village which belongs to the ¨hermandad` ( a group of villages) of Campoo de Suso , a few kilometres from Reinosa, near Nestares Golf Course and the road to Winter Sports Resort of Alto Campóo. This centenary House is ideal for rest and relax.

When its owner Paloma Lopez bought the house she was bearing in mind that she wanted to offer all the travellers confort and quality in every season of the year.

Its actual owner, Paloma López, has also conducted all the restoration works and decorations made in the house. It was also her idea that the house should have a new life keeping all the most important aspects which are tradition and the comfort and quality of the materials and structure of the house. This idea was the starting point for the search of clean spaces and the luminosity and life of all of them in every way.
As an anecdote we have to point out that the Casona was being rebuilt some gold coins from the time of Charles the Fourth(1794) and Ferdinand the Seventh (1818) were found. These are nowadays exhibed in the Living Room of the house or Salón.
