This Dam starts in Requejo , a village
very near Naveda.Very calm waters following 22km to the East
getting near Cabañas de Virtus (Burgos). Though the dam
is nearer Naveda in Arroyo.
The appearance is that of a great lake
with shallow and calm waters surrounded by fields of soft slopes
in the north and forests and more rough lands in the south.
In order to appreciate
all this it is a good idea to go arround the dam by car starting
in Naveda and going to Corconte- famous for its health spa whose
mineral spring waters are bottled and sold National wide. This
road ends in a cross roads with the ´Escudo` road and
a few kilometres on ,we reach Cilleruelo de Bezana. Here we
take a secondary road on the right and past Arija yet in Burgos
province, we finish reaching Matamorosa very near Naveda. At
every point of our route we can observe attractive scenery with
the mountains of Alto Campóo as a backround. The sights
from the ´Ermita de las Nieves` (Hermitage of the Snows
)in Monegro, 5 km away from Reinosa , is very special.
